Isovolta manufacture a wide range of composites materials.
The main range of application is the electrical industry with power transmission, power distribution and drive technology. Furthermore these materials can be used in the chemical industry, traffic engineering for wheel, rail, air and water, plant engineering and mechanical engineering as well as in the medical technology.
Composites materials can be supplied according to individual specifications through various processes, including cutting, grinding, drilling, turning, milling, bonding, assembly, die cutting, water jet cutting or painting.
Vitroglass 200 is a unidirectional glass fibre tape impregnated with thermosetting polyester resin B-staged.
Vitroglas 200 is suitable for end winding bracing of high voltage motors and generators, it is also used for motors which are exposed to thermal overloads, as well as for the banding of transformer cores.
It has high tensile strength combined with low elongation and high moisture resistance after curing. The resin system gives sufficient resin flow during curing cycle and it guarantees a high bonding between layers and a compact and resistant bandage.
Isostrip 3052 are strips of high density presspahn based on cellulose.
Profiles can be at right angle or rounded, and are used like spacers in oil transformers.
Due to the high quality of the raw materials, Isostrip 3052 can offer high mechanical and electrical properties, greater tensile strength and low compressibility.
Isocrepe tubes 3588 are based on isokraft paper.
The crepe paper tubes have good flexibility and high elasticity because the crepping is made in transversal direction, which eliminates the problem of layer separation, which can appear when using non crepped paper tubes. A special adhesive guarantees good layer bonding and non-contamination of transformer oil.
Isocrepe tubes 3588 are used mainly as connector insulation in oil filled transformers.
Glass fiber coated with silicone rubber.
Silicone fiberglass sleeving is used in insulation of motor and rotating machines, in transformers, wiring in electrical and electronic production. It is ideal insulator for wire and equipment that have to endure temperature from -60°C to +250°C, with occasional peaks of 290°C (a few hours). Self-extinguishing material, which endure welding very well.
Tubes produced by winding in a series of strips coated with adhesive around a mandrel; they can be shrinkable or not heat shrink.
Made of various materials, like Mylar®, Kapton®, Nomex®, Mylar Nomex, etc. depending on the required characteristics.
Spiral wound tubes can be supplied one meter long, wrapped in rolls or cut according to customer request. Caps designed are also available, sealing one end.
Spiral wound tubes are used in electromechanical and automotive fields, as electrical insulation, thermal or chemical protection. Thanks to mechanical properties, they guarantee high tear resistance.
